Teams,
not individuals, are the fundamental learning unit in modern organisations.
This is where the "rubber stamp meets the road"; unless teams
can learn, the organization cannot learn.
-- Peter M. Senge, The Fifth Discipline
Change Dynamics works with teams at all levels.
We work with dysfunctional teams and their leaders, and facilitate even
greater cohesiveness and development in well functioning teams. Our
focus is on team performance, the culture required to achieve that,
and making the journey enjoyable.
We believe critical aspects of team work are
frequently overlooked. Unless they are attended to the team usually
ends up with some dysfunction. They are:
• Clear agreed expectations of manager and team, and vice versa
• Understanding one another’s personal work styles and preferences
• Agreed ground rules or working principles, i.e. how we behave
in this team
We tailor our work with organisations to assist
their teams in the most appropriate and pragmatic way. That ranges from
a one-off day’s facilitation to a 6-month programme for the team
including coaching for the manager.
Our work with teams includes, but is not constrained
to:
• Strategic planning
• Developing Mission, Vision, Values, Working principles, Strategic
objectives
• Facilitation of the fundamentals of team work, e.g. expectations,
working principals, understanding different work styles
• Training in communication skills, conflict management, change
readiness
• Identifying which Tuckman’s stage the team is performing
at, and how to move forward
• Working together, including using the TetraMap, MBTI, Belbins,
and Metaprograms. We always focus on using this knowledge in the work
place
