RESILIENCE is “the
ability to recover from or adjust easily to change and misfortune”.
It is our ability to bounce back, be flexible, retain a sense of curiosity,
hopefulness and balance, and maintain momentum during change and pressure.
Most stress management programmes focus heavily on improving self-care
such as relaxation and good eating habits. A more holistic approach is
needed to developing resilience, particularly in the work place. The Resiliency
Map ™ used by Change Dynamics identifies resilience factors on 21
scales related to business performance.

The Map
profiles for individuals and teams:
• Environmental Demands
• Environmental Assets
• Resilient Beliefs and Values
• Personal Coping Capabilities
• Social Coping Capabilities.
• Health and Functioning
Change Dynamics uses the map with individuals and teams to:
• Identify strengths
• Assess risks to the business
• Assess risks to team dynamics
• Develop & facilitate programmes for change
We have effectively used the Resiliency Map with General Practitioners,
nurses, rural vets, bankers, IT managers, senior teams, team leaders,
scientists, senior policy analysts, HR teams, auditors, and administration
staff. This is through individual coaching, and team and organisational
workshops.
